She reveals to W magazine that she recently took 7-year-old son, Maddox, knife-shopping and discussed with her eldest child the importance of defending others.

While others may find the choice of gift upsetting, Angelina claims that the gesture is traditional, as her late mother Marcheline Bertrand took her knife-shopping when she was 11.

That explains so much!

Jolie's fascination with weaponry never left her, and the actress still bears scars from experimental knife play in bed and admits that she used to cut herself when she was a teenager.

She says that the pain made her "feel alive."

She also admits that she and Brad do own a gun, which they keep at home and would not hesitate to use to defend their family.

Yikes!

We wonder what kind of headlines these new quotations will spark, considering how a recent Forbes survey found that Angelina's image is one of the most profitable for weeklies.

As recently as last week, reports were circulating that Zac Efron would soon be heading to Broadway.

Perhaps to take over Daniel Radcliffe's role in Equus?

But, now Zacquisha himself is squashing those rumors, saying he hasn't been approached and that he might attend college instead.

Zefron says he got accepted to USC and will most likely be attending in the future - to study film.

He says, “I was accepted to the film program, but I deferred.”

So just when does he plan on attending college?

Efron says, “Eventually… but not at this moment."

He adds, “I’m learning so much every day working with great directors. I just worked with Richard Linklater and Burr Steers and also Kenny [Ortega]. I’m working hand-in-hand with directors and taking home a lot of lessons.”

So why is he going to college again?

Or is he just making a point that he got accepted?

Remember how we told you about the crazy guy who attacked our presh Zacquisha while exiting the Apollo Theater in London?

Well, now Baby Vage is trying to say that the attacker was, in fact, after her.

Vage says that she got hit in the face and that when she looked in a mirror in the car, she had a big bleeding scratch.

Yeah right, as if anyone would choose Vanessa over Zac.

Or maybe he wanted Zac for himself!

Zefrom says he actually has no recollection of the attack because he knows his beauty acts as a shield against ugly violence, so he doesn't really take notice.

On Friday, Project Runway's Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum got a good taste of the bitter, ongoing reality-centric labor disputes between the media moguls and the WGA.

Tim and Heidi were filming scenes for the new season on Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive and here's what the Project Runway crew had to deal with according to an eyewitness:

This morning, about 10:45am, I was returning some clothes to the Michael Kors store on Rodeo Drive when I had to cross a big picket line of shouting strikers (all male writers, WGA posters and banners) protesting "Project Runway." They had pulled the fire alarm on the nearby Valentino store also, adding to the noise of their shouting. I walked past them and the two security guards and went to enter the store, and upon opening the front door was startled to see Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum staring at me! They were obviously shooting a segment for the upcoming season, as there were lights and baffling filling the entire showroom. I quickly shut the door and ended up giving my good [sic] to a saleswoman who cam [sic] around from the back. There was a huge crowd watching all of this and taking pictures. I don't know how they are going to edit this as I'm certain the yelling and commotion could be heard inside the store.

Gosh, PR's move from Bravo to Lifetime seems a little cursed to us!

Last week we told you how the Dalai Lama had been hospitalized due to abdominal pains.

Then, last Friday he was operated on, and it was a success.

Or so we all thought.

Turns out the 73 year-old Tibetan spiritual leader is still recovering from surgery to remove gallstones and will not leave the hospital until later in the week.

The Dalai Lama's spokesman, Tenzin Taklha, had originally said he would be released on Tuesday.

However, a doctor today said that he wouldn't be released until Wednesday or Thursday.

The doc added, "We want to be absolutely certain about his health."

After his release from the hospital, the Dalai Lama will have to stay in India's capital for a week for post-surgery examination.

The Dalai Lama will continue to campaign for improved human rights, though, and will resume his travels - to Japan - shortly.

Let's hope he gets a speedy recovery!
